We found daycare!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we found daycare for Sweet P starting in September! Stacy, who is our part-time leasing agent in the office, will be watching her 3 days each week from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. I will pick her up on my lunch break and hand her over to J when he gets home at 2pm! I am sooooooooo relieved; it feels like a HUGE weight has been lifted from my shoulders! Stacy is such an amazing person and just loves babies and is so good with all children (she has the patience of a saint!)! She has 3 beautiful children of her own, 2 of which are in school. I have absolutely no reservations about leaving Sweet P in her care and I know that she will love her almost as much as I do! I don't know why I didn't consider Stacy sooner, it would have saved a lot of sleepless nights for me!

More of Sweet P and Max!

Max is still loving his baby! I thought maybe her "newness" would wear off and he would get bored with her, but I was wrong! It is so cute to seem him gazing so lovingly at her and now Sweet P recognizes him and smiles when he comes near her!

3 Months old already!

She LOVES her bath time!

Is this not the most gorgeous child you have ever seen?

My little princess!

I cannot believe that my little Sweet P turned 3 months old this week! It is astounding how fast time fly's by! If the rest of her childhood goes by this quickly, I should probably start preparing for her high school graduation now! She is getting sooooo big! We have her 16 week doctors appointment on August 13th and I can't wait to find out what percentile she is in now! We have weighed her on our home scale and know that she is around 15 pounds and I tried to measure her length (which was not easy as she is a wiggle bug!) and I think she is about 26 inches long. CRAZY!

More Grangeville pictures!

The day before we came back home, we decided to get a 3-generation picture taken with my mom. My favorite nephew Tim was in town, so he got to be in a few of the pictures too! By the way, nothing makes me feel more old than seeing how big Tim is getting. He just turned 16 in May and will be a sophomore in high school this year. I remember the days when I kept a car seat in my car for him and toted him all over Grangeville when I wasn't in school. In fact, he use to call me momma and I was the very first person he would willingly go to besides his mother! He looked so much like me that a lot of people assumed I was a teenager mother! Anyway, here are some of the pics from our photo shoot!

3 years ago today.....

Here comes the bride!

Exchanging marriage vows!
The kiss!
The wedding party!
Cutting the cake!
Our 1st dance dancing to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight"!
So happy together!

Today, J and I are celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary! Funny how fast 3 years can fly by; it seems like only yesterday! Our wedding day was beyond fabulous! Everyone had a wonderful time and the weather on the coast was picture perfect! I wish that everyone could have such an amazing party to celebrate the beginning of their marriage!
For our anniversary, we decided to take a drive to Hood River and do the "Fruit Loop" which is a 35 mile loop of vineyards, wineries, fruit stands, etc. It was so beautiful! The views of Mt. Hood were breathtaking! Sweet P accompanied us of course, and she was so good!

Sweet P and Grandpa!

Sweet P, Grandma and Grandpa!

Originally, J, Sweet P and I were supposed to go spend 4 days in Grangeville over the 4th of July holiday. However, plans changed and just Sweet P and I went, but we were able to stay for 11 days! I was really nervous about driving over 400 miles alone with my little baby, but the drive there was fabulous! She slept for the first 3 hours; I pulled into a grocery store parking lot in Umatilla and changed and fed her in the back seat. Then she slept another 2.5 hours to my brothers house in Clarkston. We had a nice 2 hour break at his house before driving the remaining hour to my parents house! This trip was the first time that Sweet P got to meet her Uncle Terry and her Grandpa! We had so much fun in Grangeville! I had forgotten how wonderful small town life is; I want to move back! My mom has shown so many people pictures of Sweet P that I kind of felt like she was a celebrity since complete strangers would stop me on the street to see "Wilma's granddaughter"! Border Days was great too! I saw a lot of old friends and classmates, though I would have like to have seen more, but it was sooooooooo stinking hot that I tried to keep Sweet P in the air conditioned house as much as possible! I was really sad to leave; I cried off and on the entire drive home. Sweet P did too; the drive home was not nearly as easy and peaceful as going there was. But, we knew we would have to come home eventually and of course we are happy to be home with J, HJ, AJ and Max the kitty! I can't wait for my next trip home (yes, my parents house will ALWAYS be home to me)! I actually am hoping to go back for the Labor Day weekend!
But for now, its back to reality which means back to work for me. I worked 1.5 days this past week and will work at least 2.5 this week. Right now, I am working my schedule around J's, so he is with Sweet P when I am not. That first half day that I worked was hard. I had only been away from Sweet P for about 2 hours total her entire life. I was hoping to win the lottery before my maternity leave ended, but it appears that it was just wishful thinking. We discovered this week that our daycare situation is now up in the air, which is stressful to say the least. We had a family friend with a 1 year old daughter who was supposed to watch Sweet P in our home; it was an ideal situation for all involved because she could still be with her baby and make some money and Sweet P could be in her own home. However, this so called friend seems to have dropped off of the planet and will not return phone calls or text messages, so I am guessing that she changed her mind and did not have the courtesy to let us know. So, Monday we begin the horrendous task of figuring out what to do. I do NOT want to take Sweet P to a daycare and I don't want to leave her with strangers. Ugh. Trishelle, I know you are reading this so I think you need to come back to Oregon; I can't think of anyone else who I would rather leave my daughter with!

Sweet P will be 12 weeks old tomorrow! I can't believe how fast time has flown by!
